Working for systemic change, the eradication of poverty, the promotion of gender equity for women and girls are the key issues for Loreto at the UN. Loreto UN brings the concerns of those with whom we live and work to the attention of the wider Loreto Community, other NGOs and the UN.
From 2002 Loreto UN has worked towards the fulfillment of the Millennium Development Goals. We look forward to contributing to the implementation of the Post 2015 Agenda which will replace them at the end of 2015.
Our specific focus is on:
- Women’s empowerment
- Improved access to education and health for girls
- Working to stop trafficking in human persons
- Sustainable development
- Innovative finance for development
- Climate change
