Justice, Peace & Integrity of Creation Committee

Purpose

To promote the dignity and liberation of all, particularly of women and children; to challenge unjust systems and structures; to stand with those on the edges of society; to show reverent care for the earth and all creation (Dir.2).

Responsibilities

1. To develop initiatives for the Australian Province, which inform and stimulate reflection on issues of justice, while encouraging active engagement in local, national and international efforts to promote justice peace and the integrity of creation.
2. To develop processes for individual and group reflection and action on issues of justice, peace and integrity of creation.
3. To collaborate with international Institute initiatives in justice, peace and the integrity of creation.
4. To promote an understanding of the meaning of justice in the Mary Ward tradition.
5. To develop structures to enable this committee to achieve its goals.
