Province Leadership

Sr Wendy Hildebrand ibvm
Province Leader, Loreto Australia and South East Asia

Wendy has held a number of senior management roles in social service organisations, most notably Mission Australia, directing a wide range of programs responding to the needs of marginalised and disadvantaged young people.

A past student of Loreto College Coorparoo, teacher and social worker, Wendy worked at Loreto Mandeville Hall Toorak and Loreto Normanhurst, where she also held the role of Director of the Boarding School.

Following a province-wide discernment process, Wendy was chosen as Province Leader in 2017. She works closely with the Province Council, comprising Anne Kelly ibvm, Libby Rogerson ibvm, Mercia Richards ibvm and Natalie Houlihan ibvm.

Wendy draws strength from the fact that she walks in the footsteps of many wise and courageous leaders who have gone before her. She believes strongly in the transformative impact of education and values the collegiality between the Province, Loreto Ministries and Mary Ward International in furthering the mission of Jesus in the tradition of Mary Ward.
