Overview

The Education Advisory Board (EAB) was appointed in Nov. 1972 and consisted of the Central Committee with State representatives.

The Central Education Board (CEB) had its inaugural meeting on 20th May 1976.  It was the professional body that was established within the Institute for educational expertise and consisted of members appointed by the Provincial who are representative of the various schools and staff.

On 6th March 2000  a formal agreement was madefor a change of name from Central Education Advisory Board (CEAB) to Loreto Schools Advisory Committee (LSAC).  From 2008 it was known as the Loreto Schools Australia Committee (also LSAC) which included a slight change in function, in that LSAC was henceforth to develop guidelines rather than policies on educational matters.  In 2011 LSAC reported to Principals and was henceforth funded by the schools
