Overview

In 1929 land was purchased at Nedlands in Perth with a view to establishment of University College. However, due to the increase in population of the area a school was needed more than the university college. Loreto Nedlands, dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows, opened in 1931. The building consisted of five classrooms downstairs and community accommodation upstairs.

Senior Classes ceased at Nedlands in 1970 and students transferred to Loreto Claremont – formerly Osborne.

Loreto Nedlands continues as a Primary School.
