Becoming a Loreto Sister
In Australia, at the core of our “circle of friends”, are over 100 women united as one province spread across Australia and South East Asia. Drawn by a sense of God’s call in our lives, and attracted by the ground-breaking insights of our founder, Mary Ward, we vow lives of service within the Catholic Church.
Our spirituality is based on a sense of God at work in our daily lives and in our world. This sustains us in our own journeys, and animates our ministries. We are linked through local communities with common priorities and a leadership structure that facilitates “a union of hearts and minds”.
Every life journey is an individual one, and before any decision to join religious life, there will be a period of enquiry, a chance for both you and the Loreto Sisters to get to know each other.
You apply to become a candidate when you are ready to make that step.
