Loreto Landlink was established as a committee of the Kirribilli Exstudents Union in December 1992 as a result of a resolution passed at the 1992 Federation in Sydney. It was initially established to help past students in the country but responded to all who needed help in the country. The Rural Interest Group was a group of IBVM with rural links and an interest in promoting the interaction between city and country communities.
