The Gospel of Jesus is central

The Gospel of Jesus is the foundation stone of all that inspires and directs life and ministry for Loreto Sisters. The Gospel issues a Come, follow me invitation for a personal relationship with Jesus: responses take on an individual expression but together we witness to all that a Christian way of life invites.

We are women inspired by the Gospel values which Jesus lived so fully: essentially to love God and to love others. With a dedication to good works wherever there is a discerned need, Loreto Sisters work for justice and peace, reconciliation and dignity, hope and healing.

When we witness to the Gospel of Jesus in our doing and our being, God’s love is promoted and served. Jesus desires that all may have life and have it to the full. In our widely diverse and unequal world, so desperate for relationships that will give life, we seek ways to assist all persons and the very creation itself, to become fully and freely what God created them to be. This finds expression in any number of ways and in any number of places. We endeavour to be companions on mission and women at the heart of the Church.
