Overview

A community was established at Thornlie on 23rd February 1980 consisting of two residences.

Three of the community served as principals of the three parish primary schools in 1980. At the end of 1983 the IBVM withdrew from the principalships of Willetton and Kelmscott.

Loreto Sisters started the  Sacred Heart Primary School Thornlie  Tobridge Way, Thornlie.

The sisters withdrew from the Sacred Heart School at the end of 1990 after 25 years. The community closed at the end of 1990.
